For the next 6 years, I tested, diagnosed, and wrote psycho-educational reports for students to see if they qualified for placement in special education classes and set up their individual educational programs. Later, I taught at a community college teaching English conversation, reading, composition, and grammar to students in the U.S. on visas. I like working with children of all ages. I believe that children of all ages and cultural backgrounds can learn if given a proper chance. I even managed to teach children in South Korea, when I didn't speak Korean at all and my students had limited English skills. I taught them through games and use of our workbooks and student books. I believe in making learning a fun experience with lots of games and an easy going manner. If the kid is bored or unhappy, it is going to make it much harder for the child to learn.
