That experience sparked my interest in teaching. At the end of my undergraduate studies, I applied and received the teaching opportunity program scholarship. In the last two years, I have worked as the dean of discipline in charge of maintaining a safe learning environment for over five hundred students.

I believe that authentic learning experiences are the most powerful. Each of us learns differently and for different reasons and we all have disabilities; some are just easier to see than others. Any true learning experience must begin with the educator understanding the learner. The purpose behind learning anything can not be dismissed using the rationale "because I said so".
