My comments on tutoring Elementary Social Studies : Fun subject to teach to the youngsters. Great to see them open their eyes to a much broader world, as they mature and begin to expand their views, and form opinions.

I have worked with children in a variety of settings and ages over the past 25 years: church camp counselor, gymnastics coach, dance instructor, theater, forensics judge, tutor, and classroom teacher. These experiences have both shaped my style of teaching and equipped me with a broad range of skills needed to connect with, instruct, and inspire children. Every student is unique and has different ways of doing things. In a swimming pool, you can see physical improvements in technique which ultimately improves performance. In teaching, it is different. It is sometimes very difficult to see the "light bulb" go on when a student finally grasps a new concept. I take different approaches in different situation to help students achieve results.

A Little Bit About Me...

After having raised 4 children, I know that each child has a different learning style. One may be very able to understand abstract thoughts and teaching styles while the other may not.
