A Little Bit About Me...

I believe in diversity in teaching styles because each student is unique and each has different abilities in various areas. As a substitute in the Woodburn School district I could pick up material quickly and teach in various teaching styles depending on the classroom.
After graduation, I taught on a transitional teaching license. I taught in the Woodburn School District. I then went to Japan and taught English as a second language. I grew up between Bolivia and the United States and speak Spanish and English fluently. I took statistics in university and taught math in Spanish from time to time as a substitute for the Woodburn School District. In Woodburn I taught a self contained classroom for a while. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a primary focus in International Business, a secondary focus in Marketing Management and a Minor in Speech Communication, along with a certification for Economics through Lunds Universitet in Lund, Sweden, where I spent a semester abroad. I have just returned from Lausanne, Switzerland where I spent the past year teaching English, interpersonal skills and nonverbal communication to two Suisse/French children, ages three and five, who had no previous knowledge of the English language.
