Ever since I started my education (going for my Bachelor degree), I fell in love with Mathematics. Throughout my educational career I became very interested in fields such as algebra, calculus and analysis, geometry and topology, and combinatorics. This interest was furthered through my master's degree, as I learnt more and more about the mathematical economics and applied statistics. I'm a 25 year professional accountant with a CPA license in CAlifornia and Hawaii. I attended public schools and local community college before going on to graduate with high honors from the University of Hawaii. I moved to the mainland and worked full-time while obtaining my masters degree from USC. I've helped my 19 year old son through high school (he has a learning disability in math) and my 21 year old daughter with her business classes.
Both my parents were teachers and I enjoyed teaching as well. I've had good teachers and I know how important it is to be a student of your students and to know your stuff so that you can be effective as a teacher. I have been a substitute teacher for three years. I will be starting at a private elementary school in August. I have two masters, in business administration and education. Before I became a teacher I worked in accounting as an accounts payable/receivable clerk, accounting technician and then as an accountant.
