My comments on tutoring Calculus II : Got an A in Calc II at WTCC as well.

Tutored on TutorSelect.come before a few years back and successfully tutored over ten individual students as well as a couple of group sessions with in between 2 and 4 students. All the students I tutored were either in high school or college. My topic I predominately tutor and that I most enjoy tutoring is mathematics. I've taken Algebra, Trigonometry, Pre-calculus, all three college Calculus courses, and Differential Equations. I also took both college-level General Chemistry courses and both calculus-based Physics courses. I also was responsible in most of my classes for developing a weekly schedule for tutoring/studying course topics with fellow classmates and friends. I started teaching karate classes at age 14. I managed a classroom with students ranging from age 2 1/2 to age 60. I tutored all through college and continue to tutor now in chemistry, physics, math, and Spanish. I also volunteer at Dorothea Dix (a mental hospital) assisting mentally ill adults with basic education (GED and/or literacy training).
The best way to help someone learn is not by telling him or her the answer. The best way is to lead the student, through well-thought-out lines of questioning, to the right answer.
