The most important element of teaching is to realize one is teaching a person. In a tutoring situation, it is especially important to discover exactly how to present material to the student. As a teacher, I seek to understand the student and then present the material using terms and examples the student can understand. Finally, I literally believe the only “stupid question” is one the learner doesn’t ask. I hold a Bachelor and a Master of Science degree in Science Education. I was certified in the State of Louisiana to teach Chemistry, Biology, General Science, and Computer Literacy. I taught high school Chemistry, Physics, Computer Literacy, and Study Skills. I have taught Biology Lab courses and Computer Information Systems courses at the college level, and have substantial experience teaching algebra to students preparing for the GED exam.

I have had a wealth of experience in the educational field. I started out teaching in a Christian Preschool in Columbia MO 17 years ago. There I learned so much. I became state certified after I attended William Woods College in their Deaf Interpreting program. From there I worked in education as both Para Professional and Deaf Interpreting. I have worked in the Public School for eight years. I have learned so much and gained a lot of knowledge in being to help students achieve in education. I have tutored students in reading, writing, mathematics, science and Social Studies. I have made a difference in many children educational lives. I use creativity and patience to reach all of my students I have been in the educational field for over 15 years as a tutor, aide, and a classroom teacher. I have a degree in Food and Nutrition which contained many credit hours of science. In fact, my adviser wanted my to minor in Science because of all of my credits. I have taken 12 credit hours of Biology, 12 credit hours of Chemistry, and 9 credit hours of Anatomy and Physiology. All of these courses had laboratory classes, as well as, lectures. I also have a degree in elementary Education. I am currently working on my Masters in Counseling.
