In addition to my undergraduate degree, I earned my law degree in 2010. While enrolled, my reading and writing skills were honed. I was required to demonstrate proficiency in legal writing as well as an understanding of my intended audience. Grammar and spelling were expected to be top notch. These skills were applied to research papers (30 + pages) and essays (4-10 pages). Additionally, review of class notes during the semester is a must. Before law school, I was a budget analyst for a large government agency. I trained over 100 employees on the agency’s new financial system. I was tasked with drafting materials and structuring each session. I also used the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Access, Outlook, and Word) extensively.
