A Little Bit About Me...

I am thankful that I had some "hard" teachers and professors throughout my education. I have honestly grown to understand the importance of success and how nothing worth having comes easily. My approach to learning is straight forward. Who? What? When Where? How? Learning should be fun. However, I donot believe in holding anyones hands. I expect my students to put as much effort as I myself am giving. Yes, every student learns in different ways. It would be my job to discover the best approach for each student.
I have earned two degrees. At Georgia Southern University I recieved a B.S. in Nutrition/Food Sciences. What I enjoy the most about teaching is to connect with the student. This gives me the opportunity to not only help in the learning process but also to help them find joy in learning. I allow students to experience success as well as failure. I encourage them to learn from mistakes and not be afraid to try.
The combination of educational studies and day to day real life work experiences give me a unique perspective in my teaching and tutoring. I have written many lengthy reports, essays, research papers and industry training materials. This has trained me to be methodical in writing and consise with facts and figures.

A Little Bit About Me...

Since my previous experience has been working with fairly non-traditional students, I would like to find a similar position. I have applied for several positions that have opened up in public schools and other agencies. I would like to see if I could work with younger children and adults and or with special needs students. Another area of interest would be teaching upper level mathematics and science courses in a small town school. After obtaining a BA in Business Ad, becoming a CPA, and working ten years as an accountant/auditor, I focused my skills towards teaching.
