Let's face it; most students do not want to be in a math class. As a teacher, it is my job to present the material in a way that will make students not want to tar and feather me out of boredom while simultaneously communicating the abstract ideas as clearly as possible. However I like puns, and math is filled with wonderful pun making material (like: how to deal with radicals using our rational powers and get to the root of the problem). A Little Bit About Me...

I have held informal teaching positions throughout my entire life. I have tutored everything from pre-algebra to Calculus to Piano. I'm currently employed as an after school tutor for middle school students, 6th grade to 8th, and independently tutor on Saturdays.
My style is relaxed and informal, but effective. School already provides enough structure, and with a relaxed mind, information can be processed more easily. 1 hour sessions multiple times a week is the best way for the information to sink in.
