A Little Bit About Me...

For as long as I can remember I have loved to learn. Through college I tutored in psychology, english, the arts, statistical math, and certain classifications of sciences. My favorites were psychology and english because of the freedom you can give due to interpretaional material.
As a psychology major I was fascinated with how the mind works in all arenas. I learned the various methodologies used in teaching people and found in my tutoring that finding a way to present even the most difficult material in a manner to make it understandable is greatly satisfying. Through tutoring and teaching others I gained a higher comprehension of the material at hand and learned more about both myself and people in general. As a regular classroom teacher, I felt hampered due to class size. I was never satisfied connecting with just a few students. Every student was important to me. I realized that the only way for me to really reach students was by reducing the teacher-student ratio. As a tutor, I found that teaching smaller groups of students or one-on-one was for me.
