Every child can learn, but they don't all learn the same way

I have been teaching for over 10 years. I am currently a second grade teacher. I tutor during the summers and have students of all ages, including middle school and high school. I believe all children can learn. It takes a special teacher to find out how a child learns and create lessons to engage that learning style. What works for one student doesn't always work for every student. I am a loving and positive teacher by nature. I strive to be a teacher that my students will remember for life, because our time was such a positive impact on their success.

Piaget called the idea that kids learn by building upon what they already know "constructivism," and I consider myself a constructivist. Hello, I am a graduate from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelors degree in Chemistry, as well as a minor in Business. Receiving a top-notch education from an accredited university, allowed me to gain an understanding in many areas of math and science. I have a bachelor's degree in acturial science and have studied extensively for acturarial exams. My studies have enabled me to master both higher- and lower-level mathematics and statistics.
