I tutored international students at my college, I taught french, english and Beginners Information Systems classes, everything from using MS Suite to programming. I also taught high school students in the areass of english and computer literacy.
I enjoy teaching and working with children. Children have the potential tot grasp concepts faster especially when you make the subject matter relate to their everyday experiences and things that they are interested in. As a substitute teacher, I experience all types of students. One thing is common in all of them; they want to know they matter. I use this as a means to find a particular interest and weave it into the lessons. Once the interest is peaked, engagement will follow. I love to see students when they discover the ‘aha’ moments in their learning. Not all students learn at the same pace, so I am patient and encouraging. My goal is to get them to believe they can achieve anything and go for it.

A Little Bit About Me...

My background is technical, having 20 years in the IT industry. However, my credentials include two technical degrees, both of which are math intensive (BS/ME, BS/CS). In addition, I have a Minor in Mathematics. Consequently, mathematics is a subject I enjoy very much. Over the past year, I have taken and passed the Georgia Assessment for Certification of Educators test in mathematics. Helping people understand mathematics is something I really enjoy doing.

I have been teaching for 20 years as a physics and chemistry teacher, and last year I moved to Canada where I attended the bachelor program in electronical engineering field at Uqam University. In Morocco I earned a three-diploma in physics at the University of Chouaib Doukkali in Eljadida City. Afterwards I attended a teaching institute where I earned a teaching certificate.
