Since I have been around 15, starting with my growing nieces, it has always stood out to me how the child's brain develops. Seeing one of my nieces grasp material quicker than the other. I took up two years of Early Childhood Education in high school as a co-op class and learned a lot about the development of children. I didn't want it to stop there so I signed up for City Year. which is a nonprofit organization which focuses of students in low-income neighborhoods with a high rate of high school drop-outs and our ultimate goal is to work with children so they are on the aim line to graduate 12th grade. I, myself, work very closely with the middle school kids of San Jose, CA and even so more closely to 6th graders, tutoring mostly in ELA (English, Reading, Language, Comprehension) and teaching in the 3-hour after school program about things from the solar system to how to multiply and di

I am a senior college student at The University of Alabama. I speak English and Arabic fluently and fully confident with the basics of the French language. I am also a McNair Scholar and I conduct academic and professional research. Besides being a student and a scholar, I volunteer my free time to tutor students. Because I enjoying tutoring I most of the time don't charge the students. I certainly have a passion to help students and have been tutoring for years. I am very patient. I will do whatever it takes to ensure that my clients are comfortable with me. Therefore, my teaching style really depends on the client. I teach which way will be best for my client. Before I begin teaching, I tend to ask my clients about their studying habits in order to understand the ways the best help them succeed and, also to see if there's any improvement need to be taking.

I have tutored kids at my Church whenever someone has needed help. I am very patient and understanding of how frustrating certain topics can be, so I know I am a great candidate for tutoring. I am exceptionally great with younger kids who have ADD or ADHD since I have struggled with that myself. I know exactly how it feels to have a hard time focusing, so I would really be able to help any child with this struggle.
