A Little Bit About Me...

I have attended Carolina Forest Elementary School, Ocean Bay Middle School, and Carolina Forest High School. I am now attending Horry Georgetown Technical College. I have had prior experience in helping or educating children/ people when I worked at Ripleys Aquarium as an Educator and also occasionally helped in Kids Club by helping children with homework and other questions and help they seeked. I have always been a caring person and love working with children in any way possible.
Very visual, hands on techniques will usually help children more than regular teaching styles.

I have learned several teaching techniques, but the one that I prefer is the military training style. I tell them what I am going to teach, then I teach them, and then I tell them what I taught them. Finally, I require a practical application of the skills they have learned. Your child will find learning from me to be fun, enjoyable, and fulfilling. I encourage questions, and provide answers. My teaching style is adaptive. I believe everyone has the capacity to learn. The approach to learning is what makes the difference. Being a mother, I love children and am very patient. I also know that kids have their own distinct personalities and I address each child as an individual person, with their own talents and ideas. There is nothing better than when a person's face lights up, young or old, when they "get it." Knowing you have impacted a person, potentially for the rest of their life, is a reward in and of itself. The pay that comes attached to it is the bonus.
