Tutoring differs from teaching in that "style" is replaced by method. Some of the methods I have used in the past are rhythm and music, neumonic devices, and of course, drill and practice. I have been told that I am gifted with presenting material in novel ways.
As mentioned in my earlier description, I have eighteen years experience as an educator. I have taught students of all ages from early childhood through college and non-traditional adult education. I have attended Carolina Forest Elementary School, Ocean Bay Middle School, and Carolina Forest High School. I am now attending Horry Georgetown Technical College. I have had prior experience in helping or educating children/ people when I worked at Ripleys Aquarium as an Educator and also occasionally helped in Kids Club by helping children with homework and other questions and help they seeked. I believe that every child has a different manner of obtaining and learning information and it is the instructor's duty to identify each student's learning style and to teach accordingly. Think of a key ring with all sorts of different keys on the ring. As a teacher you must try one key on the key chain at a time. Sometimes the first key will open the door to a child's success and other times it could be the fifth or seventh key. Teacher's need to be patient and work with their student's to best identify their learning styles and needs.

I went on to continue tutoring at NC State University, where I took a formal class on tutoring to better my abilities, and tutored non-physics major students, including one with a learning disability. Each individual learns in different ways, some are tactile learners, some are visual, and some are auditory learners. Incorporating all aspects into my teaching style assists the retention of the material. It also has to be relatable to the student, so we have to use relevant examples that they understand.
