We provide excellent customer service, possibly immediate or same day for homework help or project completion. Online tutoring is also available with a shared online whiteboard for step-by-step problem solving. We strive to get to the root of the problem be it a test-taking challenge or a problem with foundational concepts. Not very fond of your teacher? Unfortunately, this is often the case. We follow your own pace of learning to achieve results. We love the moment when a student finally understands a topic and starts building self-confidence. We can then use this to change the way a student thinks about a subject resulting in continual improvement and achievement. Everyone is a genius when given the right tools

I have been working with students as a private tutor for over seven years, and have become addicted! There are a million ways to explain a problem and a million different points of views to understand it. I have an enormous amount of patience when explaining solutions and comprehending a student’s true understanding. Hands-on learning is my philosophy as I believe that studying should be done through creation. I look forward to sharing my knowledge with those who are in need of my assistance!

UCLA: Math/Science/Computers/Executive Functions

I'm a graduate of UCLA Engineering with a passion for explaining how the physical world works through math and physics along with 14 years of tutoring experience in those subjects, test prep, and mentorship programs. The teaching strategy I believe in emphasizes subject fundamentals, a powerful and necessary tool for higher problem solving. This strategy has proven very effective regardless of the student's educational background or mental ability. Besides being knowledgeable, I am motivating, caring, and patient in guiding your student to academic success! EXECUTIVE FUNCTIONING: Executive Functioning is a separate realm that tutoring can assist in. It deals with cognitive processes including organization, time management, and study skills. Much of the difficulty students face in academic subjects can be attributed to the lack of executive functioning. They either cannot keep up w ... read more

One Concept At A Time

My approach relies on developing the ability of the student to "store" the fundamentals of the subject (without projecting much of my own style of problem solving techniques). In other words, I equip my students with the tools, while at the same time help them discover their ability to be creative and efficient in using these tools. Having been trained in a French system during high school years, I know very well how to deter the fear from seemingly complex subjects, or seemingly too much information.
During my training at Union University, I was hired in the Hundley Center as a Tutor in Math, Physics, and Engineering subjects. Through tout my experience in tutoring inside and outside Union (private home tutoring) I was successful in bringing my students grades from C to A in just few sessions. I enjoyed assisting others in better understanding scientific subjects. Almost all my st ... read more

A Little Bit About Me...

My personal tutoring philosophy being that a student should have a deep and thorough understanding of the material - not merely just know how to get the correct answer. That way, they can become self-reliant and use their knowledge to solve new and challenging problems on their own.
From elementary school to high school and beyond, my passion is to help students at all grade levels excel academically. For over twenty years now, I have been a creative and effective tutor with Master's Degree in Physics from USC and years of experience working with students of all ages. Together with the help of the students and their parents, I work to develop academic goals and milestones for each student, implement lesson plans at varying academic levels, provide constructive feedback, and foster confidence in the academic abilities of each student. My teaching methods are highly successful with m ... read more
