Communications is one of my top subjects!

I have many different teaching tactics depending on how someone prefers to learn. Some people are visual learners, and need the assistance of visual aids and presentations. Others like to learn about things by doing them. However someone enjoys learning, I believe is the best method.

A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style may vary depending on the student. I would have to get a feel of what the child like and dislike about the subject he or she is struggling in. I would also want to obtain a list of goals or expectations from the student's parents in order to implement a plan that will aid both the student and I to accomplish the targeted goal. I encourage individuals to stretch the envelope and to seek different solutions rather than accept what has been done before. I have also stressed that there is never a bad question or wrong to think outside the box. For example I have always asked students, "Why study history?" I have tutored in a community college for the last year. I also tutor Chinese students in math and biology; I speak Chinese and understand the language barriers that face non-speaking English students. I got my B.S years ago .I went back to school in my forties .I also tutor Psychology and Sociology I have several papers in review on Psychology related issues.
