A Little Bit About Me...

I recently graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor's degree in Statistics and a Certificate in Computing which is one step down from a minor. The statistics degree program had a heavy emphasis in mathematics, so a lot of my course work contained math classes. I have always been in advanced math classes and have been tutoring friends, family, and colleagues since High School. I will be starting at the University of Kentucky in August 2012, preparing for a Masters in Statistics, and available for tutoring the end of August/early September 2012.

College Student Eager to Tutor

I am patient and love to give one on one attention. I give all the time that is needed for the student to understand the material. I like to do a hands-on or demonstration to explain a topic, explain it with examples and then give practice problems.
I tutored at my high school for three years and have been surrounded by teachers my whole life. I am about to start tutoring at my college this summer and continue into the fall part time. For some subjects, repetition is very important and for others a clearer understanding of the concepts involved is more valuable. I like to start with small skills and build on them.
