I have years of experience teaching and tutoring English as a second language, both in the U.S. and overseas. My students have included high school students, community college students, university and postgraduate students, and working professionals of all ages. I have taught speakers of Spanish, Portuguese, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Thai, Arabic, Farsi and Turkish. My comments on tutoring LSAT : Able to help with subject

I have had 22 years total of tutoring experience, worked for six different supplemental educational services tutoring providers, worked for three different online tutoring companies, and have eleven years of experience as an ESL Teacher. A Little Bit About Me...

As a classroom instructor, I am conscious that one needs to constantly engage with and interact with the class. I always taught in a tutorial style, where after I've introduced the material the students must solve a puzzle or problem based on it. I believe that to engage students there must be a discovery component to the class. In a tutoring role, one can take the students strengths and build on those. Often a student has lost all confidence (and hope!) and doesn't realize how much he or she knows. By patiently building from simple problems this confidence can be restored.
As a graduate student at UC Berkeley, I was a TA for twelve semesters in a range of physics classes. In 2002 I won the UC Berkeley Outstanding Graduate Student Instructor award.
