I am very patient, and I take pride in my ability to relate to so many different students at different grade levels. I am not strict, but I expect hard work and dedication from my pupils.
I have worked as a Sunday school teacher instructing children ages ten through sixteen. I also taught vacation Bible school during the summers. During my senior year of high school, I mentored a young lady named Olivia Draper with whom I received a $2500.00 scholarship from Champions for Children for college.I also worked as a substitute teacher for Madison County Schools in 2009-2010. I worked most of my substituting assignments at the alternative school. I fell in love with the desire to teach students while working with the students there. When I have "tutored" fellow colleagues and students in the past, I have learned that one must be creative in their teaching so that every person can learn in their own way. Creativity is the key to helping a person understand, even playful games have their place in teaching. I have always been a team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.
