I obtained a bachelor of science in chemistry from the University of Alabama. But more importantly, i was deeply involved with cutting-edge scientific research throughout my undergraduate experience. I enjoy working with students of all ages, although most of my experience has been with middle school age and older. I use a couple of different techniques to help students understand math, including using visual aides, problem solving techniques, role reversal (where they explain a lesson to me), blackboard/whiteboard work, and games. I believe it's really the responsibility of the tutor to understand the student's learning style and adjust the teaching to fit the learning style.
