Taught Latin for 4 years from beginning Latin I to the AP level. While teaching Latin, I gained a great deal of experience teaching English grammar as well as graded hundreds of papers. Recently took the GRE and understand several study strategies. I have taken math through calculus in both high school, in AP calculus, and at the University of Oklahoma. A Little Bit About Me...

I believe all students can learn. I strive to accomplish this by basing my teaching style upon the learning style of my students. In my classroom I implement discovery and inquiry as an approach to learning. Currently as a reading specialist I focus on individualization because at the secondary level each student has unique needs. In addition, I work to incorporate reading across the curriculum to help my students develop the skills needed to read and comprehend the textbooks in all the disciplines.
As a graduate of the University of Oklahoma, I began my teaching career in mathematics at the junior high school level. I taught Algebra I to eighth graders. While teaching, I returned to school and received my M.Ed as a Reading Specialist. After working in that area for a few years, I became an inner city high school principal.
