I teach by asking you to do a few problems for me and after figuring out where you have trouble, I take you step-by-step and make you understand. Afterwords, I'd have you do a few practice problems and check it to make sure you and I both are confident in your abilities. There may be a few homework problems every night to refine your memory.
I personally love math and I make it my hobby. I am currently taking multivariable calculus (Calc III) and have completed Calc I, Calc II, and many other math subjects. In addition, I have received a perfect 800 on the math section of the SAT and on the Mathematics II SAT subject test. I have vast experience tutoring at both the high-school and college levels. I have previously been hired by Rutgers University, NJ as a tutor for the Executive MBA program in Newark. I also, as a part of my PhD degree, taught a college level class called Statics for two semester. My teaching evaluation was roughly 4.5/5.

In lecture style, I prepare notes on topics provided to me before meeting and present these notes with sufficient number of examples. My comments on tutoring Pre-Algebra : Passed with A's. Spent over fifty hours doing on-the-spot tutoring this and other math subjects on-the-spot.

I have had over fifty hours of experience tutoring math on the spot. Students would come in at whatever time was convenient for them while I was available with varying questions from a wide array of subjects. Sessions were student-led and I worked on quickly transferring between completely different topics.
I am used to student-led teaching. The students choose the topic they feel they need the most help with. I walk him/her through an example problem or two and then he/she does a few alone. Once I feel that he/she is comfortable with the topic, I ask whether he/she would like to try any more. This allows the student to take control of their time and learning experience, which is often much more interesting and enjoyable for them. However, I am open to going through the book consecutively.
