I don't think there is a better feeling then to see a student be proud they were able master something they thought impossible. If I had to say what method I used to teach students, I would have to say that every student is different, and that what works for one may not work for the other. I taught Court Reporting English (4 levels) for a private college in Bakersfield, CA., from 1986-1990. I have been tutoring students in English off and on for the past 18 years. Teaching-tutoring has always been an avocation rather than my vocation. I have some spare evening time and would like to continue to tutor.
My teaching style is to get my students involved in the English process; from grammar to vocabulary to basic syntax, I try to make my classes fun and interesting as well as productive.
