A Little Bit About Me...

I am a freshman at Missouri southern. Math is my favorite course hands down. Its not very difficult for me. I would prefer to tutor elementary and junior high students, but will also work with highschool kids too. I am majoring in physical education so this really could help me out in my field. Over the last 4-6 years I've had to teach coworkers the intricacies of engine technology (basic hydrocarbon breakdown and nitrogen depleting systems) to basic geometry and electrical circuits ( from creating concentric bends in pipe to large scale automated systems). I have not taught english to an 11th grader in a public school, but I make it a fact to learn everyday and spread the knowledge to whomever i come into contact with and is willing to learn. I have recently been studying and implementing hydrogen generating systems and the effects of injecting it into internal combustion engines.
I believe teaching is best learned though practical examples (especially math). because I used to say the same thing that I'm sure that kids today are saying. While pursuing my Bachelors Degree in Accounting at Missouri State University, I was a substitute teacher for grades 1-12 at two local schools. Through this experience I obtained a great understanding of various student learning styles and effective teaching methods from numerous teachers and numerous students. I then secured a position with one of the top 10 public accounting firms in the country. After obtaining my bachelors degree I advanced within that firm and then took advantage of an opportunity to obtain additional knowledge of the overall accounting process through a medium sized local firm.
