A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style is based on student needs and abilities. I feel that every child is capable of learning and enjoying music as well as any other subject. A students progress is determined by their learning rate based upon their maturity level. Students learn at levels and must master one level before attempting a higher level. Therefore, as a teacher I try to provide instruction that meets a students needs and instruction that progresses according to a students mastery of necessary skills.
After receiving a Bachelor of Music in Education degree from Youngstown University, Youngstown, Ohio I was employed by the Crestwood Schools, Mantua, Ohio to teach instrumental music. I graduated from USF with a B.A.'s in Anthropology. I also gained an immense knowledge in understanding and researching groups, as well as individuals, by participating in an Honors/Thesis program offered by the department of Anthropology. As such, I have acquired superb writing and grammatical skills. Additionally, I have played the viola, a classical string instrument, since the 6th grade. Being a well-rounded individual, I have also studied art while attending college, and enjoy creating my own arts and crafts frequently. Also, I speak and write some Spanish.
I am currently enrolled in an Educator Preparation Institute to obtain my certification to teach.
