I am currently in my third year of a bachelors of science in biology through the pre-medical track. I have a minor in physics as well as psychology. I work in the biomedical department in the Center for Neuroscience as a research investigator exploring the realm of rehabilitation and prosthetics with respect to stroke and traumatic spinal injuries. Down to Earth tutor more worried about the academics than $

Tutored (recommended by school) fellow classmates elementary though college and various friends and family. Was the type of student that would teach myself and help others that were behind. Completing a double major in Computer Science and Mathematics in less than four years took dedication and excellent study skills. So far, I have only tutored people in Calculus, and Physics, but I am comfortable with Differential Equations, Discrete Math, freshman Chemistry and Biology, and pretty much anything Computer Science related at the undergraduate level.
I am excellent at breaking things down and making them easy to remember. Relating the subject material to something the learner can understand is key. I am very patient and will take the time to learn how to help each student in the most productive way I can.

A Little Bit About Me...

Over the past year, I served as an Americorps volunteer in an inner city charter school with an emphasis on character education. I worked one on one with students helping them with math, reading, and science skills. I assisted in classroom teaching of mini lessons too. I also helped with their after-school program, I also created supplemental study guides and multimedia software to help students to improve their study skills. Tutoring has been rewarding, because it has increased my interest in the field of education. Subsequently, I am seeking certification in Biology 7-12th.
