My teaching style is an extension of my personality. I am curious about the world and my curiosity is infectious, so I can easily raise a student's interest in a subject. I have a positive vibe, but I'm not afraid to give constructive criticism. However, I can do that without discouraging the student. I expect my students to concentrate at the task at hand. My life-long pursuit of excellence in academics and education has led to a Magna Cum Laude undergraduate degree with Honors Society Membership in addition to many solid recommendations from accomplished professionals. During my undergraduate years, some of the areas in which I excelled included: music theory and history, piano pedagogy, psychology, Spanish and English composition (including APA and MLA styles). As a great advocate of education, I aim to offer my students with the best learning experience possible. For that reason, while tutoring in college, I started reading and learning about the many teaching styles used in schools. This helped me find my own teaching style that focuses on each student individually. I try to mix several teaching styles in order for the student to understand and feel comfortable with the material.
