A Little Bit About Me...

I have recently graduated from the University of Michigan-Flint with a Bachelor of Science and teacher certification degree. I student taught during the fall '09 semester. Student teaching provided many opportunities to work on various teaching techniques. The student teaching semester consisted of; leading the class in discussion on a daily basis, creating worksheets, conducting lab experiments and other activities, grading homework and tests, and much more. I created and taught four lessons during the observation semester. I have also been involved in teaching and tutoring a college chemistry class under the supervision of a college professor.

As a teacher, I expose students to a variety of artists and their techniques. My students are taught the fundamentals of art first, mastering one skill at a time. I am completing my degree in Elementary Education/Language Arts from Oakland University. I've spent countless hours in the classroom working with a variety of students. I have experience tutoring students in math and English. I have experience tutoring cognitively impaired students as well. I recently discovered alternate ways to teach math.
