Elementary Reading is one of my top subjects!

I became a substitute Teacher in 2000, in which I have taught grades K-12th. I currently substitute in the Flint Community Schools and in the Genesee Intermediate School districts. Confidence creates an interest in learning

Substitute Teaching from 03/15/2011 to present Chess Instructor from 12/17/2003 to 04/30/2004 Tutor for Western Michigan University 09/15/1997-04/30/2000. I have taught students ranging fro pre-school to 12th grade and also tutored at the unversity level. I feel most confident with students ranging from 3rd to 6th grade and at the college level or older. My main strengths are an ability to adapt to students with special needs and recognize that a lack of interest or focus is often the result of a lack of confidence. A Little Bit About Me...

I have a deep passion for learning, and it's always my goal not only to help students learn skills but to find their inner motivation too. I currently work as a substitute teacher, and I appreciate the chance I have to see the best of what teachers and paraprofessionals are using in the classroom and how they help their students.
