In 1995, I began my official tutoring odyssey by assisting my classmates in AP Calculus. Every day during lunch I spent my half-hour helping my fellow high school seniors succeed, ultimately achieving a 4/5 on the AP exam and guiding others to similar grades. I believe anyone can teach a subject, having enough knowledge of a subject allows one to pass it on. However, I feel what many teachers do not do is teach students how to learn. It is in my belief that teaching students to learn enables them to think independently allowing them to become more creative rather than repetitive.
