I have work as a para educator and a volunter in a special education classroom setting as well as a special education church ministry. I have over ten years experince in the Early Childhood Development area. Interactive modeling of examples, repetition, and simplifying subject matter are key components of my teaching style. A Little Bit About Me...

I grew up living with kids around me. I know how to make them happy and energetic. I learned how to make myself adjust to how the kids like in order for them to listen to me. I am a former social worker, "turned teacher".

I am a former social worker, "turned teacher". I returned to school in 1998 to "recycle myself" and finished an M.A. in 2000. I did not continue, to become a fully credentialed teacher. I have had 8 years + experience as a substitute teacher, in high school, middle school and elementary school. High school was a favorite, but now I find that elementary students (1st thru 5th) are more accepting of my "grandma-like" appearance.
I use lesson plans and schedules left by the teacher, as well as textbooks and other materials like workbooks which are familiar to the children. I leave a written synopsis of the day for the teacher, including notes on behavioral issues or good/helpful behaviors.
