As a University of Wyoming graduate, I have had the life long dream to teach young children. I have earned one bachelor degree in elementary education and recently pursued my masters degree in reading and literacy through Walden University. After graduating from Georgetown University in Washington D.C., I returned to Wyoming to work in politics and government. I have been asked to teach chapters on Government in the local high schools as well as teaching Sunday School classes locally in Cheyenne. I serve in the State Legislature as well as working in the community to help youth succeed in their goals.
I try to create a fun learning environment, ensuring the youth can ask questions, have flexibility at their learning speed and still master the material in ways that will stay with them. Teaching is the greatest job I have ever had. I have never felt more rewarded than when teaching a child or adult something new or explaining a concept to them that is difficult. To see satisfaction on their faces is pure joy. From my previous tutoring and teaching experience I have learned to be patient but strong. A Little Bit About Me...

As I think of my life without teaching, I cannot imagine what else I would be doing. I believe that children learn in a variety of ways. Some through listening, some through reading or watching, and some through doing. My goal is to find the way that works for each child and use that method to help them on their way to reaching their full potential.
I graduated from the University of Wyoming within 3 1/2 years and student taught in first grade. Since then, I have been teaching in several preschool programs and spent part of one year as a long term substitute for a Title 1 program.
