Painting is one of my top subjects! The main area of study in college art program that I was in was painting. As a result of many hours of study and my ability to learn things pretty quickly, I'm comfortable teaching the foundations as well as provide guidance.

Considering my own relative youth, the best approach would be to encourage them pursue the subject matter of their choice while also providing the foundations to do so on a more advanced level.
