I have attained a MS in Counseling and Psychology, and a BS in Psychology with a Math minor. Through my journey into higher education I have been fortunate enough to motivate myself and others to push through tough courses by establishing study groups. Towards the end of my college career I assisted in "Community New Start" in Austin, TX which was a mentor program assisting high school children in under-privileged districts. I assisted with basic math and English material. A few months later a group of us from the University of Texas assisted in the "Reagan High School" project, where the district was considering closing the school down due to failing TAKS scores, mainly in reading comprehension and math.
