My comments on tutoring Algebra I : I was a math major at Cornell and have been tutoring algebra i for five years.

I have logged over 5,000 hours of tutoring in the last four years. I have worked for a game company, which taught me how to approach tests as a contest between student and test-maker, and my extensive background as a writer gives me practical experience when it comes to teaching English and related subjects. I have worked as a teacher aide at Temple Shalom Emeth Hebrew School. There I performed small tasks around the classroom, and assisted students in learning Hebrew and more about their Jewish heritage. I also have an ongoing job as a tutor at Salem State University's math lab. During school semesters, I help students with their homework, study for tests, and understand material better.
