I usually do hour long sessions once or twice a week (depending on goals) and give weekly assignments to complete.
I am an ACT specific tutor but I can tutor for other needs as well. I provide the supplies including tests, calculator, ACT watches,etc. I prefer to work out of Starbucks on 29th and Wanamaker but that can be negotiated. I am a high school senior but I have been tutoring since freshman year in Science and Math for both underclassman and elementary students. I have a 33 on the ACT and I also have a recommendation from an ACT certified tutor.

I have always enjoyed working with children, especially in a school setting. I am very good at working one-on-one with people and tailoring my communication and teaching style to best fit the student or listener. I am very keen at ascertaining the needs and personalities of many different people and I am very patient and adept at listening. These are the reasons that I belong to TESOL and the International Reading Association. In addition to belonging to these organizations, I have continued to pursue new knowledge by attending graduate classes at the University of Kansas. After I received my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction in 1994, I continued my studies and received both my reading specialist and ESL endorsements.
