My comments on tutoring Accounting : I have a Masters of Accounting Degree. I currently teach accounting at the Milgard School of Business at the University of Washington Tacoma.

I make an attempt to find what works for each individual. I attempt to use real world examples that individuals can relate to. I sometimes use mnemonics to aid in the memorization process.

It is my considered opinion that there are many styles of teaching that can work effectively with students. Generally, I feel that it is best to adapt the style of teaching to the personality, interest, and capability of the student. My preference is working with teens and young adults, with whom I find that a style that guides them to find the answers for themselves is of greatest advantage.
