As children learn in different ways and at different paces, many have difficulty adapting to the standardized teaching of institutional education. I believe that children learn best from a personal approach that meets their needs and draws on their strengths. I begin the teaching process by building rapport, encouraging ideas, and instilling confidence. I then determine a starting point by measuring the child’s aptitude. My teaching style is so passionate, I love opening doors to where students actually grasps the idea of learning and the effectiveness of it. As a young adult I often times relate my learning experience to theirs, in order for the students to see hard work actually pays off. I enjoy the success of watching students receive good grades, and the excitement of feeling accomplished. I have assisted teachers with middle school students during a summer technical program as well. I currently hold a M.S. in Education specializing at the Elementary grade levels. I also have a B.F.A. in Photography with a minor in Journalism.
