Experienced English/Russian Language Tutor

I am a native Russian speaker. I graduated from Moscow State Linguistic University in 2002. By now I have more than 8 years experience teaching English both for children and adults and 2 years experience teaching Russian as a foreign language. I have experience teaching private one on one lessons as well as group classes.
I believe that anyone at any age can learn a foreign language. My students are adults, youngsters and even 5-year-old kids. I know the best way to teach language learners of different ages. I teach according to the student's specific learning style. My approach when teaching children is child centered. The activities I provde are needs driven and geared toward the child experiencing success as he works to increse skills in the target area. I teach the child to use strategies which will help him in the area of organization and learning. When appropriate, I encourage the child to use calming techniques or engage the child in activities to promote alertness, the assist the child in focusing on the activity at hand.
I have taught pre-school and elementary school in Canada and in the USA. I have taught French K-8. I have worked with adults with disabilities in a habiliitation setting. I have worked as a COTA in the school districts where I provided OT services for students with disabilities, aged 4-21.
