My experience as a teacher has given me the opportunity to teach math, science, history, literature, reading and writing to a very diverse group of students. Since I was in college at Eastern Oregon University I have enjoyed working with children to educate them and foster enthusiasm for the sciences, especially chemistry. As an active member of the chemistry club at EOU I volunteered in dozens of elementary chemistry demonstration in the LaGrande OR area. I also participated in summer chemistry camps during this time. After graduation I have voluteered at area high schools during national chemistry week for the local chapter of the American Chemical Society. I am currently mentoring a PhD student from UCLA for the next two years who is working under my direction to complete an intelligence community post doc assignment.
