My mother tongue is German. I graduated from University in 2000. My major was Sociology (social sciences) and I graduated with a Master's Degree in my home country Austria. During my university education, I participated in an exchange program and spent one semester in the US (UTC, Tennessee, Chattanooga). The methods of teaching I was instructed when I obtained my Bachelor in Education at the University of Akron Ohio, from 1989-1991, was the following Integrated, Whole language approach and Montessori. The method we were instructed to use in the Akron city school system was Integrated which uses basic and whole language approach language Arts. These integrated units allow us the opportunity to make sure children are learning relevant information and applying that knowledge to real life scenarios.
