Improving Student Achievement

I believe that all children have the ability to learn. They each learn in a different way and at different rates but they all are able to learn. I promote a variety of teaching styles. Differentiated instruction is vital for student success. I believe in exposing students to different types of learning. Furthermore, I feel that students should be a part of their own learning process. I have always enjoyed working with children and helping them learn and grow. Based on my experience as well as my knowledge from Developmental Psychology courses, I am aware that not all children learn in exactly the same manner. I believe structure is essential but that the degree of structure may vary widely from child to child. I believe learning should be interactive, fun, and exciting.
