Being a residential intensive case manager was the most accomplished life-changing job experience that I have done at Salisbury Behavioral Health, Inc.’s Deaf Services Center based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This experience enriched my knowledge of the deaf individuals with mental illness and their highly demanding environment. As an Intensive Case Manager, I worked with individuals who possess a wide variety of behavioral health disorders and mental illness, in addition to being Deaf and Deaf-Blind and communicate with individuals through American Sign Language. My comments on tutoring Basic Learning Skills : I am able to foster better basic learning skills for all of my students.

I have over of 30 years of progressive experience in tutoring young children in the elementary years of education in all subject matter areas. My specialty is literacy and reading, but I am also adept in teaching all of the math curricula as well. I also firmly believe that teaching organizational skills and proper research methodologies are very important for the classroom today--and every child needs these skills in order to excel in the classroom and survive. I am also a qualified art teacher in the NOVA area.
I believe in tutoring so that the child receives feedback and fully understands his/her own limitations and how to overcome obstacles in class. Many children lack positivity in the methodology! I also believe that using art instruction helps children to learn in a more creative manner.
