A Little Bit About Me...
In my experience as a teacher, i have taught children as young as 4 to retired adults who wanted to play for a hobby. My passion to teach music is driven by the realization that musical ability, the enjoyment, and sense of accomplishment can last a lifetime. Music in itself becomes its own reward. I am sensitive to differing learning modalities and try to use a very kinesthetic approach to teach rhythm and as a teaching strategy for the physical movements required for playing various instruments. I work hard to be an encourager and cheerleader for my students.
I began teaching private guitar, bass, and music theory lessons when I was 16 years old. I have continued to do so until present day. My emphasis for my Masters was Theory/Composition/Arranging.
