I have always enjoyed teasing and using humor in teaching all ages of student. I have seen the value of basic, solid math and English skills in the market place and would add basic occupational application to any tutoring environment. My goal in tutoring is to guide the student to gaining confidence in their skills. I have learned through critiquing lyrics online that the best way to tutor is not to rewrite but to suggest alternatives and guide my fellow writer as they rework their lyric. It is rewarding to see fellow artists stride forward in writing as their confidence and basic skills of structure, form, and clarity grow. I love working with children and believe every child can not only learn, but enjoy learning. I like making learning fun. Some obstacles in learning are based on one's feelings about learning or about a particular subject. Sometimes asking the right questions can unblock the obstacle, leading to a better awareness of one’s abilities and knowledge.
