I love to write. As a pastor, professor, and playwright, I have actively been writing for the past ten years. I have written hundreds of sermons, lesson plans, papers and newsletters. I have also written five plays for young adults, one of which was published. I earned a master's degree in Divinity, a bachelor's degree in Communication Arts with a minor in Psychology, and further graduate credit in Communication from Purdue. My public speaking class is extremely participatory, both so students can gain experience speaking in front of an audience and because this format seems to keep students more interested in the material. My experience teaching children in theatre was also very participatory. I believe that students learn best when they can understand a given concept from several different angles.
