As a recent college graduate and now a graduate student, I have always had a passion of working with children. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Education and spent numerous hours and days with children both in the classroom and outside the classroom teaching about the environment, science, and reading. I have worked with all types of children both in the undergraduate classes and in my personal life working and volunteering with children. Prior to changing my undergraduate major to Geography, I was an elementary education major. I have always enjoyed working with students; however, at the time I wanted to try something different and is how I ended up working as a Park Ranger for the National Park Service (NPS). My experiences with NPS have allowed me to teach in an informal setting, by educating the public about their national parks. I also have the opportunity to present curriculum based education programs in grades K-5 about different aspects in NPS. My experiences have also pushed me to start a Masters of Science degree in Biology to further my knowledge. While I was an undergraduate, I was also a teaching assistant for physical geography labs.

I'm currently a senior at the University of South Dakota. I'm finishing my Chemistry/Spanish double major via online classes in Rapid City, SD. I've tutored all levels of Spanish and received credit for doing so, and am now student teaching at Stevens High School in their Spanish Department. I also have extensive experience in math and science fields as a result of my Chemistry major. I have taken up to Calculus II, and have taken numerous Chemistry, Biology, and Anatomy classes.
