I believe that if a student doesn't understand what is being taught, part of the fault lies in the way the information is being presented. Most standard classroom settings do not provide the type of learning environment many students need, and I believe this is the root cause of their struggle with the subject matter, not the subject matter itself and certainly not the student. I am very good at explaining concepts in many different ways and work patiently and at the student's own pace. I have been an "instructor"-teacher for over 15 years. I teach math, economics, finance, business, and management for several colleges. I have been a Boy Scoutmaster and merit bade counselor and have worked with youth for over 15 years. I have always been given very high marks as an instructor with many comments on my positive energy and help for students. I have an applied mathematics minor so I would be able to teach algebra, geometry, trig, and introductory calculus. I am a question-answer type of teacher.
